Sallah Celebration: Plateau NSCDC Command deploys 1,727 personnel
The Plateau State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in preparation for the Eid-Ed-Fitr has deployed over 1,700 personnel across the state.
Briefing personnel, the Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command, Comd’t Alexander Bissa Barunde said the deployment is strategically made to cater for the security needs of the state.
He explained that those deployed comprised armed, unarmed and plain clothes personnel for monitoring and maintenance of peace, law and order and ensuring a conducive, joyful and hitch-free and peaceful environment for the celebration.
The Commandant therefore sternly warned that anyone conceiving any idea or ideas that could disrupt the peace of the state should be ready to face the full wrath of the law or eschew same.
While wishing all Muslim ummah a peaceful and spirit-filled celebration, Comd’t Barunde encouraged all citizens to report any suspected persons or movement to the appropriate authority for proactive measures to be put in place.
He assures that all security agencies are working collaboratively to ensure a very peaceful and conducive environment for the celebration.
