Again, PDP loses bid to suspend Wike, Fubara
The Peoples Democratic Party’s bid to suspend Rivers State Governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, from its fold over alleged anti-party activities failed on Tuesday before Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Also, the governor-elect in Rivers State on the platform of the PDP, Simi Fubara, escaped being suspended too, as the court restrained the national leadership of the party from acting on alleged anti-party activities.
If not for the court’s intervention, the PDP would have suspended the two leaders in Rivers State today who had earlier sued the party not to suspend them for any reason.
Justice Ekwo, while delivering judgment on Tuesday in two separate suits instituted against the PDP, said the due process of law must be followed by any organization set up by law while dealing with issues relating to law.
