Magu’s ordeal begins as panel detain, withdraw security details
The Acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu was late Monday detained at the Area 10, Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters, Abuja.
His detention followed his earlier interogation by the interagency panel at the banquet hall of the presidential villa.
The developments, was contrary to claims that Ibrahim Magunwas not arrested, a claim by the EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale.
Details emerged that the Acting EFCC Chairman was actually arrested. His arrest on Monday was effected by a large detachment Policemen and Department of State Security who were deployed to the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Security men in three trucks filled to capacity moved to Wuse II EFCC office to arrest Magu to the Presidential Villa in the Asokoro to face the panel.
It was learnt by CAPITAL POST that the former Court of Appeal judge, Ayo Salami led Monday’s panel that interrogated the Acting Chairman of EFCC.
