COVID-19 panic hit Ghana girls school as 6 students tests positive
Panic has gripped the Accra Girls Senior High School with students agitating to go home following 6 students who have tested positive for COVID-19.
Parents of students besieged the school to take away their wards, while Ghanaian Police flooded the complex maintain orderliness and security.
The development was as a result of the outbreak of coronavirus that has affected six female students who have tested positive for the virus and were sent to the Ga East Municipal Hospital for treatment.
It is recalled that Ghanaian President has recently relaxed restrictions on schooling for final year students to enable rjem complete their examinations.
The outbreak of COVID-19 in the Accra Girl school has made parents nervous.
According to Adom News, a local news outlet, school authorities have declined allowing their students, but insisted that there must be authorization from the Ghana Education Service.
