Source close to the development hinted that he.was likely to reveal his choice of successor in the meeting.
The source said: “The governor is expected to make a pronouncement on his choice of successor at the meeting,” an aide to one of the contenders told our correspondent.”
The meeting is strictly by invitation from the Kogi State Party Chairman, Abdullahi Bello.
The meeting will also have all the serving legislators, newly elected legislators, Commissioners and also Local Government Chairmen in attendance.
Also, members of the APC State Working Committee have been invited.
Reports of the invitation for the meeting has increased tension among supporters of various aspirants.
Last week, the governorship had insisted that the system will produce his successor and no outsider would be allowed to succeed him.
