Kogi 2023: It’s pay back time for Igala – Youth Ambassador Obaje
The Kogi State Youth Ambassador, YAN
Amb. Mustapha Hassan Obaje has said APC 2023 Governorship Primary election in Kogi State is payback time for the Eastern Region-Igala of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Amb. M.H Obaje, who represented Kogi in the Youth Assembly of Nigeria National Legislative Sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State while addressing the media said none of the 2023 Governorships aspirants neither made more sacrifices for Governor Yahaya Bello or contributed more to the growth and development of the All Progressives Congress than those from the Eastern region of the State.
He called on the leadership of the APC and Governor Yahaya Bello to compensate Igala for their political contributions to the formation and successes of APC in the State, his administration and aspirations in Kogi since 2015 to date.
We must not forget so early the role of the Igalas in bringing APC to success in Kogi State. We must also not forget the role of our sons in the success story of Yahaya Bello in 2015, 2019 and the just concluded general election.
Amb M. H Obaje argued that His Excellency Yahaya Bello will never betray the Igala and that for the sake of equity, fairness and justice, APC should zone its 2023 Governorship ticket to the East and give the Igala the right of first refusal.
“We are not unaware of the desperation of some set to twist the mindset of his Excellency along certain parochial political culture,” but We should be reminded that we also have a stake in the breeding and growth of the party both at the National level and the State and in all fairness after eight years of the governor, logic, common sense, equity demand that power should move to the Easthern part of the State” he said.
