Ritualists working for Kogi APC arrested with coffins, 2 under age children in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has announced the arrest of three suspected ritualists, who were identified as Uluko Adukwu, 28, Salisu Aduh, 38, and Adams Halilu, 24.
A team of detectives were dispatched to
Jikwoyi and Orozo surburbs of Abuja after Karu on Wednesday following actionable intelligence, where the criminals were apprehended.
In a statement by the Zone 7 Abuja Public Relations Officer, SP Istifanus Sunday Bako on Thursday said, the suspects are all residents of the nation’s capital.
After interrogation, Uluko Adukwu, confessed to be an All Progressives Congress youth leader who participated fully in the party victory in Emewe Opada, Abocho and the entire Dekina Local Government of Kogi State in Kogi East.
The Police said, they were arrested with
two boys, ages 11 and 13 – suspected to be their victims.
Bako said the gang confessed to using charms to defraud people and giving charms to internet fraudsters who perform rituals, aka Yahoo Plus.
The police noted that fraudsters in turn use the charms on their targets, sometimes resulting in the death of some of the victims.
Three empty caskets, one Toyota Prado, one Lexus 330 Car, and 15 mobile phones were recovered from the suspects.
Also recovered were clothings and women’s underwear believed to belong to dead victims.
The Zone 7 AIG, Kayode Egbetokun (now DIG) advised individuals to be careful where they worship and report suspicious activities to the police.
