BREAKING: Petroleum Minister resigns
Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipreye Sylva has resigned from office
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the Minister submitted his letter of resignation to President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, March 31, 2023.
Sylva who served as Minister of State for Petroleum throughout Buhari’s two term in Office revealed his intention to vie for governorship of Bayelsa State which he will participate in the forthcoming APC’s
primary election that is slated for April.
CAPITAL POST recalled that Sylva had governed Bayelsa for one term amd.has been suffering defeat while attempting to serve a second tenure of office.
Meanwhile, when contacted, the Minister’s Senior Adviser, Media and Communications, Horatius Egua said he could not deny or comfirm the resignation because he had not seen the resignation letter or officially informed of the resignation by the minister.
