The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has been called upon to use the original results in its server which indicated that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is leading to declare Hon. Mohammed Isah Asiru winner of Kaduna State governorship election.
Kaduna State PDP Chairman, Hon. Felix Hayyat stated this at a press conference on Monday in Kaduna in the aftermath of delay in the announcement of the winner.
The election was conducted on Saturday March 18, 2023 with confusion trailing the outcome since then.
According to him, the delay in announcing PDP winner in the obvious results that it is winning suggests suspicion that the electoral umpire was up to unethical conduct against its own regulations and guidelines.
He stressed:. “I strongly call on INEC to without further delay, declare Rt. Hon. Mohammed Isah Asiru elected Governor of Kaduna State using the authentic results in its server.
“Any attempt to change or doctor results will be viewed as deliberate act to deny the people their right to freedom of choice.’
