Election results aftermath: Kano governor, Ganduje impose dusk-to-dawn curfew
Following crisis that erupted in Kano immediately after the election result was announced, Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew.
Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Malam Muhammad Garba, made the announcement in a statement issued on Monday morning.
The Commissioner said the curfew is to avoid a breakdown of law and order following tensions generated from the collation of results of the governorship and state Assembly elections.
The commissioner called on the people of the state to remain indoors as security agents would not spare anyone or group bent on causing trouble.
Meanwhile, hoodlums have set a popular APC singer called Rara on fire.
