INEC confirm thugs invasion of Abia office

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has disclosed that its office in Obingwa local government area of Abia state has been attacked by political thugs.

The commission announced this on its Twitter handle on Sunday.

Change of Name

On March 18, the commission conducted governorship and state house of assembly elections for 28 states in the governorship election, and they are Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Cross River, and Delta.

Others are Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kwara, and Lagos.

Others include Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, and Zamfara.

While the 36 states 993 House of Assembly seats were contested for.

The tweet read, “Thugs have invaded our Obingwa Local Government Area office in Abia State.
