BREAKING: NSCDC parades 11 suspects with 1.2 million fake old naira notes in Jos [Photos]
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command has paraded eleven suspects with One Million, Two and Fifty-Five Thousand Naira fake old notes and Six Hundred and Forty-Five Thousand fake Dollars of One Hundred Dollar bills and vandalization of a transformer.
While parading the suspects at the Command Headquarters Jos, Command Public Relations officer, DSC Longbit, Chrisantus said the suspects were arrested by the Commandant General, Nigeria Security, and Civil Defence Corps, Abubakar Ahmed Audi’s Special Intelligence Squad in collaboration with officers and men of the Plateau State Command of the NSCDC.
“Nine of the suspects: Dantala Omale, Musa Abdullahi, Audi Abdulazeez, Umar Hassan, Mahammadu Badaru Yakubu, Isa Ukashetu, Aminu Isa, Abbas Ibrahim, and Jonathan Dakogol were arrested in Gombe, Nasarawa and the Plateau States with Four Hundred and Seventy Thousand Naira old notes of One Thousand, Four Hundred and Twelve Thousand Naira, Three Hundred and Seventy Thousand Naira of fake newly redesigned One Thousand and Five Hundred Naira notes totaling, One Million, Two Hundred and Fifty-Two Thousand Naira.
He also paraded two suspected vandals who were arrested in the Ganawuri area of Riyom Local Government.
The suspects: Nyam Yakubu and Davou Boyi all male were apprehended by the Operations Safe-Haven (SFT) fvandalizinging a transformer in the Ganawuri area and handed over to the corps for prosecution.
The Public Relations officer disclosed that an investigation will be carried out and the suspects will be charged to court and prosecuted accordingly.
