Media reports that the governorship and State House of Assembly elections slated for Saturday March 11, 2023 could not be confirmed by CAPITAL POST to report its version.

Our correspondent said the inquiry has been put across Independent National Electoral Commission to ascertain the authenticity of the claim, but the Commission was yet to respond, while the INEC correspondents have been waiting.
Other media outlets that carried the report quoted a Resident Electoral Commissioner to have leaked the report to them.

Change of Name

The report which has gone viral cited challenges of logistics as responsible for the postponement by INEC.
CAPITAL POST on Wednesday reported that a three-man panel of justices gave the INEC nod to reconfigure the BVAS ahead of Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.

It could not be confirmed if the development would be responsible for the unconfirmed postponement to enable INEC finish with the reconfiguration before deploying the machines to the fields.
