Adamu is a former Commissioner in Kaduna State and a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Also, arrested are the Youth leader of the State PDP, El-Abbas Muhammed and Talib Mohammed.

Meanwhile, Senator Shehu Sani has alleged harrassment and intimidation of members of the Peoples Democratic Party and other opposition political parties in Kaduna Stage.
Sani said: “In Kaduna on Tuesday, security agents have arrested the Media Director of the State PDP campaign Committee Hon Saidu Adamu, an ex Commissioner.
“They have also arrested two youth leaders El Abbas Muhammed and Talib Mohammed. Security Agents should allow free elections in Kaduna,” he wrote on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
“The APC lost election in Kaduna on the 25th of February; attempts to use security agents in order to intimidate and harass members of the opposition because of the 11th of March Governorship election will not be tolerated.”
Calls put through to Mohammed Jalige, the police spokesperson in Kaduna State, were neither picked nor returned. Also, he is yet to respond our SMS as of the time of publishing this report.
