NASS election: See winners so far and those counting their loses too [Full list]
Saturday’s election results continue to throw up surprises as the Independent National Electoral Commission has been making announcement of winners and losers.
CAPITAL POST reports that some governors have lost woefully to their political opponents, no thanks to the use of BIVAS machines in the verification of voters.
From the foregoing results, the Labour Party which serves as a third force is recording successes in the Senatorial and the House of Representatives elections.
Labour Party’s successes at the Senate and House of Representatives cut across the six geopolitical zones, despite the fact that the party’s presidential standard flag-bearer, Peter Gregory Obi hails from Anambra State in the South East, Nigeria.
It is interesting too, that Obi has defeated Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos which is believed to be Tinubu’s stronghold even as a former governor of the State.
Also some incumbent Senators on the platforms of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have lost re-election to their rivals.
