Polls: A graduate turned ballot box snatcher shot dead in Kogi [Photos]

A graduate of political science of the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Ojochenemi Akayaba was on Saturday shot dead while snatching ballot box at Anyigba in Dekina LGA, in Kogi East Senatorial district.

He was shot by operatives of the Nigerian Army on Saturday.

The late ballot box thief has just completed his NYSC.

Our correspondent gathered that he came with other thugs to the Odaba polling unit in Dekina ward with machetes and guns snatched ballot boxes, broke chairs and dispersed voters.

The polling unit is believed to be a stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Immediately the thugs stormed the polling unit, they started destroying election materials and voters fled for fear of their lives.
