Labour Party’s Enugu East Senatorial candidate, shot, burnt inside campaign vehicle

Three days to the general election, the candidate of Labour Party, LP, for Enugu East Senatorial district, Barrister Oyibo Chukwu was shot dead and burnt inside his campaign vehicle.

Details surrounding his assassination are yet to be released, particularly, by the Enugu State Police Command, but the late lawyer was contesting the same Senatorial seat with the former governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani.

Nnamani is of the Peoples Democratic Party, while Ada Ogbu is of the All Progressivess Congress contesting for the same Senatorial district.

Meanwhile, supporters of Peter Obi have expressed anger and bitterness over the reported death of the candidate few days to the elections.

An unverified video on social media showed a man burnt inside a campaign vehicle with people around the scene weeping and wailing.
