NCDC buries Kogi Chief Judge as Bello orders seizure of photo cameras at Gudu cemetry
Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Nasiru Ajanah who died early hours of Sunday at the COVID-19 Isolation Centre Gwagwalada, Abuja has been buried at the Gudu cemetry, Abuja.
The burial took place amid tight security with photographing and filming of burial activities completely banned.
Security officials and Police officers at the burial ground said Kogi State governor had ordered them to seize cameras of anyone trying to take photograph or recording with phones.
Bello ate a humble pie and.set aside his differences with Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.(NCDC) to attend the burial with some State government topnotchs.
Bello’s avowed tango with the NCDC over the likelihood of COVID-19 in Kogi State has been flattened, given that the late jurist died of COVID-19 at the COVID-19 isolation centre, Gwagwalada on Sunday.
Before the Chief Judge passed away, he had spent three weeks having been brought from Lokoja to the centre early June after showing signs consistent with COVID-19 symptoms.
He was interred at COVID-19 section of Gudu cemetry in Abuja.
The State government was yet to issue official statement on the late Justice as at the time of filing this report.
