Senator representing Taraba South Senatorial District, Emmanuel Bwacha was on Wednesday sacked as the 2023 governorship flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress by the Supreme Court.
In the lead judgement which was delivered by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun alongside other four justices upheld the judgement of the Federal High Court.
The Apex Court held that the APC in Taraba State didn’t conduct governorshio primary which the lawmaker in the upper legislative Chamber of the National Assembly claimed victory.
It’s recalled that a Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo, capital of Taraba State had sacked Bwacha on September, 2022 as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
The nullification of the APC primary election was at the instance of David Sabo Kente, one of the aspirants, had filed the suit against Bwacha’s candidature.
