BREAKING: Senate set to confirm ex-IGP, Arase less twelve hours after confirmation
The former Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase was set to be confirmed by the Senate in less than twelve hours after President Muhammadu Buhari sought for his confirmation as Chairman of the Police Service Commission, PSC.
The executive communication seeking his confirmation was read by the Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan during the plenary on Tuesday.
Senate President referred the letter to the Committee on Police Affairs for the screening to turn in report on Wednesday.
The Committee CAPITAL POST gathered screened Arase before the end of Tuesday which has made it possible for his confirmation on Wednesday.
His confirmation has been reflected on the order paper by the Senate leader Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi representing Sokoto East Senatorial district.
