Adoji hussled for Kogi APC governorship ticket, got snubbed – Campaign Council
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi East Senatorial candidate for the 2023 general election, Dr Victor Alewo Adoji huzzled and begged to be allowed to contest for Kogi State APC governorship ticket coming up sometime this year, but got snubbed.
This revelation was contained in a statement issued by the Deputy Director of Protocol, APC Campaign Council, Ojoachele Christian and made available to CAPITAL POST on Saturday in Lokoja.
The Campaign Council said, Adoji’s tirades and campaign of calumny against the incumbent Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial district, Jibrin Isah Echocho was borned out of his frustration.
The statement added that he has been persistently churning out hate speeches and articles against the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, who in his wisdom didn’t acceed to his request as Bello is not in a position to donate governorship ticket.
The statement read: “Adoji, in his desperation for ticket, visited the Governor early last year, in the company of the Ohiegba Mozum HRH Bukar Ali . At the meeting, HRH and Victor begged the Governor to allow Victor to decamp to the APC with an understanding that the Governor would facilitate the Senatorial ticket for Victor.
“The outcome of the meeting was not favorable to Victor. That angered him. Here lies the rationale behind Victor’s persistent attacks on the Governor of Kogi State, and Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho.
“This revelation has further demonstrated Victor’s desperations.
“Victor Adoji and his cohorts keep on emphasizing that Echocho shouldn’t have undertaken infrastructural and other developments. But, he has failed to realize that Constituency projects are an integral part of the activities of Senators and Members of the House of Representatives.
“Echocho’ s constituency projects complement the activities of the Kogi State Government in Kogi East .
“We strongly advise Victor to travel his UK or USA, as he is always said to be calling from either of these countries, and come back for the election on 25th February. That is , if his money for the election is not stolen at Itobe junction, in Kogi East.”
