Plateau: As 17,000 APC members dump party, Jang says, no PDP presidential candidate lost election since 1999

Former Governor of Plateau State and founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sen. Jonah David Jang has said Plateau is a PDP state and no PDP Presidential candidate has lost election in the state since 1999.

Jang stated this on Tuesday during the PDP Plateau Southern Zone Campaign flag off at Shendam Stadium.

Senator Jang who pleaded with the People of the state while kneeling down and praying urged them to vote for the PDP and advised them not to make any mistake again.

“Plateau State is known as PDP State, but we made a mistake of allowing the failed APC to govern for eight years, and they have failed woefully, as there is nothing to show in Nigeria, and in Plateau State. Lalong has no legacy, the only flyover is a rushed work and I want to advise Plateau citizens to be careful when put to use because it could collapse”

He added that when in office as Governor of Plateau State he built solid flyovers and projects which stood the test of times.

Jang also tasked the People of the State to vote for PDP Governorship Candidate Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, Senatorial Candidates, Reps and House of Assembly Candidates in the forth coming elections in the State.

Elder statesmen, Ambassadors Yahaya Kwande and Bagudu Hirse both described the PDP as the only party that will salvage Nigeria and Plateau state, saying nobody has worked in Plateau State as former Governor Jonah Jang has done.

They both urged Plateau citizens to get their PVCs and vote for PDP to end poverty in the State.

The Only PDP serving Senator from Plateau State and Senator Representing Plateau North in the National Assembly Sen. Istifanus Dung Gyang said under the APC administration for eight years Plateau state has been absent from the budget of Nigeria.

According to Senator Gyang, since administration of the PDP under former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Former President Goodluck Jonathan, no federal Government presence in Plateau state in terms of projects, saying Plateau State has been totally forgotten and citizens have suffered hardship.

“Plateau State is only known for Women Affairs Ministry and nothing else to show for it, we now stand for Atiku Abubakar for development and progress of Nigeria.

The PDP Governorship Candidate Barr. Caleb Mutfwang promised that if elected he will revamp critical sectors in the State to include Agriculture, Education, Health, economy amongst others.

He said if Nigerians didn’t kill APC come February, 2023 then APC target is to destroy democracy in Nigeria.

Director General of the Atiku/ Mutfwang Campaigns in Plateau who is the former APC Chairman, Hon. Letep Dabang described the APC as cream of liars which makes him to defect to the PDP and urged the people of the Southern Zone to vote for Atiku and Mutfwang and the National and Assembly members.

The PDP Chairman in Plateau State, Hon. Chris Hassan who presented party flags to all the candidates said if the people of the State want to take away hunger, and poverty then they must vote PDP.

He urged all the citizens of the state to collect their voters cards to vote for Atiku and and all the PDP candidates of the PDP.

We are tired of government’s lies, borrowing hardship, and insecurity”

Our correspondent report that the event witnessed massive turnout of PDP supporters as well as the decamp of 17,000 APC members from the six Local government of the Southern Zone to the PDP ahead.
