Nasarawa governor says only God can stop Tinubu from succeeding Buhari
Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule said, it’s only God that can stop Ahmed Bola Tinubu from succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.
The governor spoke at a flag-off campaign of Nasarawa West Senatorial district, which Architect Shehu Tukur, is a candidate, in Kokona Local Government Area, adding that APC governors in the north would use their resources to ensure Tinubu emerges victorious.
According to him, all APC governors in the North will plough resources into Tinubu’s project to ensure he wins, stressing that they will conquer any form of opposition.
The governor earlier described report of 11 northern governors working for Atiku of PDP as fake and dismissed the claim, while he insisted that opposition parties were behind the falsehood.
“Our goal is to return Tinubu, our three senators, five house of representatives and 24 state assembly members as elected.”
He stressed that there is no need for any APC governor from the north to hold secret meetings with Atiku because they were the ones that stood the ground that power must shift to the south, and their decision pave way for the emergence of Bola Tinubu.
According to him, the northern APC governors are the most pressured to ensure that Tinubu wins the 2023 presidential election.
“Nobody wants Asiwaju to win this election more than the APC governors from the North. The reason is when the APC governors from the North realized that we were trying to retain the position in the North; the APC governors rose to the occasion and said no.”
