Atiku’s campaign rally: Shehu Sani condemns Rivers N95 million cost of venue

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District and Human Rights Activist, Shehu Sani has condemned Rivers cost of venue at a whopping sum of N95 million.

He said, the amount was too outrageous and would likely going to be a reference point by some governors to oppress opposition political parties in future.

In his verified Twitter handle, Shehu Sani wrote:
“Ninety Five million Naira for a Campaign venue in Rivers; this is unprecedented in the history of ourhttp://country. It will continue to be a reference point for Governors who want to emasculate the opposition. What’s the cost of renting the Abuja Eagle square?”

CAPITAL POST reported on Saturday, 7th January, 2023 that Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has approved the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council’s request for use of facility after payment of N95 million.
Wike is leading other four governors to oppose Atiku’s candidacy and have vowed not to work for him in a presidential election that is scheduled for February 25, 2023.
