2023: Jigawa PDP governorship candidate, Lamido (jnr) urges youths to take advantage, receives ex-deputy governor
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mustapha Sule Lamido has urged the youths to take advantage offered by next month’s election and vote younger, energetic and intellectually mobile candidates to move Jigawa upwards.
He said, his youthful age gives him
greater advantage with the strenght and the mental alertness needed for the task of governing Jigawa, appealing to electorate to vote for him and other PDP candidates.
Mustapha spoke on Friday after the party formally received the former Deputy Governor Ahmed Mahmoud back to its fold at an event held in Bamaina.
He reacted to criticism trailing his age for being too young to govern a Jigawa by the opposition parties, but the politician said, he’s well experienced and prepared for governance.
While insisting that his age is not an issue, but the ability to deliver on all expectations, he stressed that his knowledge and experience would give him the opportunity to provide solutions to most of the hardships brought on citizens by APC administration.
“My young age is my strength and would give me the determination to bring a proper solution to the problems bedevilling the state.
”This is an opportunity for people at a young age to come together and support the PDP to fix the country”.
He assured that more people would soon join the party and also promised equal treatment to new members of the party.
