Son kidnaps father, collects N2.5 million ransom in Ilorin
A boy, Issa Naigheti has kidnapped his biological father alongside two other accomplices who fled to escape arrest in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
Kwara State Police Command on Friday confirmed the arrest of the boy and said a ransom of N2.5 million was paid as ransom to the boy, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, disclosed to journalists in Ilorin.
The Police said the suspect was arrested around Kambi area of Ilorin by the Police attached to the anti-kidnapping team of the Kwara State Police command.
Okasanmi said, other suspects who fled are being trailed.
“The suspect confessed under interrogation to having conspired with two others to kidnap his father, Bature Naigboho in Igboho/Igbeti area of Oyo State and collected N2.5m ransom”, Okasanmi said.
He added that the case would be transferred to Oyo State, the venue of the crime.
