Plateau Philanthropist, Ropshik distributes bags of rice to 500 widows, 400 orphans
As part of the 2023 celebration of New Year and his birthday, Plateau Philanthropist, Hon. Ropshik Kefas has put smile on the faces of
victims of attacks and other less privilege who are finding it difficult to survive under the current economic hardship, mostly widows, orphans, and the blinds.
Hon. Kefas who is also the National Coordinator of the 60:23 for Atiku Okowa distributed bags of Rice to 500 widows and 400 orphans as well as paid the school fees of the blind students of the University of Jos.
He said his whole life is dedicated to serving the needy who live in society, saying doing that is extending his happiness to the aged, the widows, orphans, and other less privileged.
While speaking at the event, which took place at the Mees Palace, Jos Plateau State said he appreciate God for allowing him to show love to the less privileged in the state adding that he has been doing charity work for 13 years, adding that by God’s grace, he will never stop.
“Many do not have a means of livelihood, so why should I be celebrating my birthday with those who are enriched instead of the needy? I’m doing it not for politics but to make the less privileged happy, What can I be remembered for when I died?
Kefas who is currently paying the school fees of some select blind men and women studying at the University of Jos said it gladdens his heart to put smiles on the face of the less privileged.
He also donated N300,000 to support the handcraft enterprise of the blind who presented a craft they made to him as a birthday present, said he will continue to pay their school fees until they graduate from the University.
“I have been doing this for over 13 years now. I am not doing this because I am the richest man on the Plateau but because I am passionate about the needy.
“As you all know, last year was very challenging for all of us, and it has cost me a lot to gather these widows and orphans here. But I have to do this to touch lives and put smiles on their faces.
“My mantra has always been, what will I be remembered for when I die? I want to be remembered for the number of lives I have touched”, Ropshik said.
He said as a follow-up to his birthday celebration, he will also be organizing free medical services in the three geopolitical zones in Plateau State
He advised Nigerians to vote for experienced and trusted Leaders like Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming election who can transform the country and restore its lost Glory.
According to him with an experienced leader like Atiku Abubakar, Nigerians will not go through the pains and hardship currently being experienced in the country.
He assured the widows and orphans of better days ahead described the APC Muslim Muslim ticket as evil and said it has only confirmed Atiku Abubakar’s victory in the forthcoming election.
