Nasarawa governor signs N149.3 billion as 2023 budget into law
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has appended his signatures on N149.3 billion for the 2023 appropriation budget into law.
Signing the budget into law at the Government House, Governor Sule eulogised the State lawmakers for their unreserved mutual working relationship which brought about due consideration and speedy passage of the 2023 budget into law.
Governor Sule pointed out that the lawmakers have shown commitment and enthusiasm towards development of the state, adding that as partners in progress he has no doubt it would “enhance our collective responsibility into the provision of purposeful leadership.”
He further explained that the budget tagged budget of Economic Consolidation and continuity is aimed at watering government ground to perform developmental projects and programs that will enhance the living condition of citizenry.
“Our administration is determined to ensure the continuity of government policies and programs, the ongoing despite political engagement we will continue to implement government programs, Sule assured.
“Let me use this channel to call on all the stakeholders and government functionaries to ensure implementation of the budget to the logical conclusion for the benefit of people of the state.
On his part, Speaker of the State house assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe stated that his colleagues have worked around the clock in ensuring the legislative processes of the 2023 budget became reality.
“Also my appreciation goes to the heads of government ministries and parastatals as well as the finance committee of the Assembly for the commitment thus far.
He called for sustainable working relationship between the legislative and the executive arms of government now and forever for the purpose of unity, peace and progress of the state.
