2023: Why I engage all tribes in Plateau – APC governorship candidate

The Plateau State All Progressives Congress governorship Candidate, Dr Yilwatda Nentawe has revealed the secret behind the citizen engagement tour of all tribes, groups and stakeholders in the state ahead of the 2023 general election.

Spokesman for Generation Next Campaign Council, Shittu Bamaiyi in a press statement issued to journalists in Jos on Wednesday said, the candidate
while exchanging views with the people separately in Mushere, Sikin and Bokkos separately revealed that the parley is designed to properly brief the people on his blue print for the state and in turn get their inputs.

Change of Name

Nentawe disclosed that his own style of leadership is people oriented and driven, emphasising that security, unity and poverty eradication are his priority, if elected into office.

He believes that once the people are secured and united, it will spontaneously attract and stimulate reasonable economic activity thereby reducing poverty in the state.

Nentawe maintained that the state is challenged in many fronts and as such needs a man of intellect, exposure, experience and versatility as a governor to be able to solve the problems.

The APC governorship candidate disclosed that before joining the race he had commissioned experts to carry out research in various fields on issues bedevilling the state and that their findings as well as solutions have been submitted to him.

Nentawe further disclosed that he has systematically outlined how to deal with the challenges facing the state pointing out that he has all it takes to deal with them frontally.

The governorship Candidate assured that he is not ready to embark on rhetorics or gimmicks but on realities that would take the state out of the woods.

Nentawe revealed that he will only do those things that are possible in line with the yearnings and aspirations of the people which at the end of day he can be held accountable for the success or failure of the programmes.

On mining Nentawe said international experts and marketers will be brought in through joint venture agreement to fully explore the resources for the benefits of the state and the host communities.

He however urged traditional rulers to be quick in profiling miners as that will go a long way in checkmating terrorists who come in the name of miners

In their various contributions, spokesmen of the interest groups, religious leaders and traditional rulers re-enforced their confidence in Nentawe’s capacity to govern the state efficiently.

They revealed that the consensus of the people is that APC governorship Candidate is their sure bet .

During the citizens engagement, the Candidate was accompanied on the tour by his wife Martina,his running mate Pam Botmang and his wife Clara had paid courtesy calls on the Acting Chairman of the Bokkos traditional council Royal Highness Lawrence Ayizat, Miskaham Mushere Joshua Mutkut all prayed and assured Nentawe of success at the polls.
