Ahead of 2023 general election, Prof. Akin Oshuntokun has been appointed as the new Director General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LPPCC) for the OBI-DATTI Presidential and Vice Presidential ticket 2023.
He replaced Dr. Doyin Okupe who resigned last over his conviction to prison terms for money laundering running into N750 million.
On Tuesday, the Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Julius Abure, announced Akin as Okupe’s replacement innAbuna.
The development followed the National Working Committee meeting with the Labour Party Candidates, State Party Chairmen and States PCC Coordinators.
CAPITAL POST recalled that Dr. Okupe wrote to the LP Presidential candidate Peter Obi of his intention to resign, while in a reply, Obi accepted his wishes.
