Christmas: Civil Defence deploys over 3500 personnel to check trouble makers
The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command, Commandant Alexander Bissa Barunde said, arrangements have been made to strategically deploy, Three Thousand, Five Hundred and Fifty Two personnel to ensure a hitch-free Christmas and New year celebrations in the State.
The Commandant in a press statement issued on Friday in Jos by the Command Spokesperson, DSC Chris Longbit assured that the corps shall leave nothing to chance to ensure that the celebrations are observed peacefully devoid of crime in the state.
He urged trouble makers to stay away from Plateau State, promising that whoever that is caught would not be handled lightly.
Barunde calls on all citizens to be law abiding and report any suspicious movement that could disrupt the peace enjoyed in the state or lead to any form of break down of law and order during and after yuletide period to the appropriate authority.
The Commandant also warned all mischief makers to desist forthwith with any criminally minded plans as security agencies will make sure the arm of the law catches up with them.
Commandant Barunde wishes all Christian faithful a peaceful Christmas celebration and peaceful new year celebrations while enjoining all law abiding citizens to celebrate the Yuletide without fear.
