The youth mega rally earlier scheduled to take place on Saturday, 17th December, 2022 has been postponed till further date to be announced.

The mega rally was scheduled in line with the National Youth Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Tinubu-Kashim Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC)’s timetable, but was shifted due Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s rumoured failing health.

Rumour of the APC presidential standard flag bearer deepened on Wednesday as he was said to have been rushed from the podium at a presidential campaign rally in Minna.

CAPITAL POST reports that the Campaign Directorate has not issued a statement with regards to the alleged poor health status of Bola Ahmed Tinubu since Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the National Youth Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Tinubu-Kashim Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), which was sighted by CAPITAL POST in Abuja on Friday 16th December, 2022 and which was dated 15th December, 2022 being Thursday, said all APC youth members should wait until further notice.

The statement quoted Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello to have ordered the rescheduling of the mega rally.

Yahaya Bello is the National Coordinator of APC youths.

However, the letter cited Thursday’s death of Ademola Seriki, an ally of the APC candidate who is Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, as one of the reasons for the postponement.

The ruling party has since commenced its presidential rally across the country where the presidential flag bearer, Tinubu and his Vice, Senator Kashim Shettima have personally appeared.
