International NGO donate health kits to Niger government
A Non-Governmental Organization ( NGO), saddled with the responsibility of reducing maternal mortality in the country has donated misoclear, a family planing kit to Niger State Goverment with a call on women take family planing with all seriousness.
Donating the kit to the Executive Director, Niger State Primary Health Care Development Agency ( NSPHDA), Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Dangana, in Minna during the week, the regional manager in- charge of North Central State, Mr. Michael Enenche explained that the kit will assist in reducing the risk of bleeding during child delivery among pregnant women.
He stated that Marie Stope Nigeria (MSN), is committed to improving access to morden family planing and reproduction health care service in Nigeria which informed the decision of the NGO to donate the kit to the state government.
He applauded the state government for creating an enabling and conducive environment for health workers in the state towards reducing the rate of maternal mortality in the state, assuring that the NGO will continue to partner with the Niger State Primary Health Care Development Agency (NSPHDA), in ensuring the reduction of risk in child delivery.
He urged pregnant women to patronize government health facilities in the state towards ensuring healthy delivery, stressing the needs for couples to embrace family planing.
Receiving the kit on behalf of the State government, the executive director of the NSPHDA, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Dangana, commended Marie Stope Nigeria for their kind gesture assuring that the kit will be judiciously utilised in achieving the desired objective.
He assured the NGO of the state government readiness in partnering with Marie Stope Nigeria ( MSN) in the total reduction of maternal mortality among pregnant women in the state.
