TM Con 2022: The world will continue to purchase African contents – M.I Abaga

Nigerian Music artist and rapper, Jude Lamfani Abaga better known as M.I, has boasted that with top notch talents in the creative industries in the African continent, countries of the world will continue to patronised and purchased African contents.

M.I said this recently at the Technology and Media conference (TM Con) 2022, a premiere edition, aimed at equipping African creatives in the Tech & Media Space with the skills needed to build a profitable business.

Change of Name

According to M.I, creative industries in Africa has become a huge playing field that is beginning to garner attention and waiting to be explored.

He said African rich contents are widely seen and admired by various countries of the world and can hardly be ignored.

The Music Artist believe that with the growing rapid rate of creativity in the African continent, the industry is capable of generating revenue that will transform its economy.

“Creativity is legacy. Creatives need to let go of ego to grow. The world will continue to purchase our content in Africa. This is our time”, he stressed.

Over 500 African creatives were present at this year’s TM annual conference.

The hybrid conference themed “The Business of Creativity: From Passion to Profit” was a 2-day event with the first day being the Virtual Day featuring creative experts from different parts of the world and the second day being the physical event held in NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, Nigeria.

The Virtual Day featured CMO/Co-founder of Ingressive for Good, Blessing Abeng, Co-founder of The Plug NG, Bizzle Osikoya, Founder/CEO of Utiva, Eyitayo Ogunmola, and others.

The physical event also featured industry leaders such as, CMO/Co-founder of Piggyvest, Joshua Chibueze, Head of Creativity & Innovation of Globacom, Chuka Obi, Nigerian filmmaker & Film coach, Chris Odeh, Founder/CEO of Pop Central, Yinka Obebe, Nollywood actor and Movie Maker, Uzee Usman and various experts from different creative communities.
