Jemchang, represented by the Director of Human Resource and Administration Mrs Vicky Gyang said the agency was waxing stronger with huge expectations from its beneficiaries and the public, it required a very active workforce to meet those expectations, especially a Marketing force that will promote the activities of the Agency to the informal Sector.

According to him, the training is to impact the knowledge of the staff to market the health insurance scheme effectively across the 17 Local Governments of the State.

“The training of the marketing staff is very important to the agency and Plateau State as a whole, this is to ensure that the people know about the scheme, the training will develop the skills of the Marketers”

Also Speaking the Director of Marketing and Business Development of PLASCHEMA Mrs Theresa Gofwen said the training is an avenue for the agency to teach the staff the skills on how to sell health insurance, saying at the end of the training the participants should gain the right skills to sale insurance for the sustainability of the agency, especially from the informal sector.

She said promoting the scheme to the informal sector is the big project that the agency is carrying out to ensure universal health coverage in the state, especially in the informal health sector, saying already the formal sector has been captured by the agency.

Gofwen added that 60 Participants selected from different departments form the first batch for the marketing training as another one will be done in the next three months.

”This marketing training is very key to the success and progress of this agency. I believe that this training is going to contribute largely to improve their skills toward the success of the agency,” she said

A participant, Miss Gayus Lilian said the training will equip them for greater efficiency to promote the agency
