BREAKING: Buhari orders reopening of Dangote Cement, tells Kogi governor to approach Court
The Federal government Friday ordered the reopening of Dangote Cement at Obajana in Kogi State which was shut down on the order of the State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
The decision followed the meeting of the National Security Council which held in Abuja.
The meeting which was presided by President Muhammadu Buhari asked Kogi State government to resolve thei differences through the Courts.
CAPITAL POST recalled that the ownership of the Dangote Cement which was formally Obajana Cement as at the time of its establishment in 1992, became a subject of contention lately with Dangote Industries claiming ownership.
In a statement by the Company’s management, they claimed that Kogi State government was never committed to its part of the obligation, hence, Dangote wholly owned the plant based on investment he made.
