Gunmen wielding AK 47 rifles have reportedly invaded Gidan Sule, village in Kadarko, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa state in the early hours. A source who spoke to Capital Post revealed that five persons were killed in that attack, while several others sustained bullets wounds. As at the time of filing this report, several persons are still reportedly missing.
The President, Tiv Development Association (TIDA), Comrade Peter Ahemba denounced the continuous senseless attacks on his kinsmen in recent time. He recalled that a few weeks ago, some gun men killed three people at Antsa village in Kwara, Keana local government Area of the state. Comrade Ahemba lamented the killings, saying despite the security measures taken by the Nasarawa State government to check further occurrences, attacks has continued unabated.
It would be recalled that the President of Tiv Youth Organization in Nasarawa state, Barr. Barnabas Zayol recently cried out over the incessant attacks on Tiv communities in the state. Recently, several Tiv communities in the state came under numerous attacks by gunmen in various settlements in the state.
Some of the affected communities in the state are Dooshima, Antsa, Dooka, Angwan Yara, Ikyayior, Targema, Tse Tor, Chia, Umurayi, Dooga, Gindan Rai, Ajikamaka, Ankoma, Gidan Rai, Zayol and Doka Atikpo etc.
