Maulud: Wase tasks Muslims on peaceful co-existence
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, has urged Nigerians to imbibe the culture of tolerance as the country celebrates the Maulud (birth) of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase appealed to all Nigerians to eschew bitterness and primordial sentiments in their dealings with one another.
“Prophet Muhammad (SAW)’s life is an example in forthrightness, diligence, hardwork, and commitment to set objectives, adding that when imbibed, these virtues can help the nation towards rapid growth and development”.
He noted that on this occasion of the celebration of Maulud Nabiyyi, Nigerians should collectively reflect on how the Prophet’s life and ideals can help the country overcome its present challenges.
