Sunday Thanksgiving Service: Topic: Changing our mindset for growth and expansion
By Toyin Oyekale
Text: Judges 7:1
Mindset is a set of beliefs, values and attitudes. They determine our outlook and how we see the world.
The only thing God and the devil is after is your mind.
When we send children to school, our aim is to work on their minds to bring about a change.
Whatever happens in your life starts from your mind. Our mind captures a lot of things both right and wrong. Our minds affect us from birth to death.
The mindset of the people affects the growth and development of the nation. Africa is what it is today because of the mindset of the people.
The devil has brought a lot of demonic things to our culture and trained our minds in those cultural practices.
Tips to work on our minds:
If our minds are programmed well, then we can change our lives, circumstances and environment. Our progress, successes and failures are a product of our minds.
Most of us, our minds are set on certain things that can hamper our lives negatively.
It will take a great toll to change some of our mindsets.
We must strive towards having the mind of Christ.
Some of us are focused and bothered about the devil, which should not be.
Judges 7:1
Some people’s levels of timidity and fear are high.
Your mindset determines your actions. If you want to expand and increase, then the proof of that will be seen in your actions.
God doesn’t work with people who are full of anxiety and worry.
You are what you worship.
Some of us have great capacities within us, but our mindsets limit us. The spirit of religion limits Christians.
We can change our mindset by reading the Bible always.
