Police arrest five suspects over killing of Senator Gaya’s son in Abuja
Personnel of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command have arrested five suspects in connection with the killing if Senator Kabiru Gaya’s son, Barr. Sadiq Gaya.
The lawmaker’s son who works with the asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) was killed on Tuesday in Abuja.
Sadiq was allegedly killed over N3.5 million.
Kabiru Gaya was a former governor of Kano State and a Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial district who has been in the National Assembly since 2007.
He is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The FCT Police Command’s Spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirming the incident, noted that five suspects, in connection with the murder, were in police custody as investigation continued.
“Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder, and investigation is ongoing. The outcome of the investigation will be communicated subsequently,”
