Police Service Commission Chairman resign, gives reason

Amid recruitment crisis, the Chairman of the Nigeria Police Service Commission and the former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Musiliu Smith has resigned.

Though, he cited illness as responsible for his resignation, CAPITAL POST recalled.that there have been recruitment crisis over who has statutory power to employ constables into the Nigeria Police.

The second most Senior PSC Commissioner, retired Supreme Court Justice Clara Ogunbiyi, who represents the Judiciary, has taken over as PSC Acting Chairman.
