2023: Plateau APC sure of winning all elections – Governorship candidate
2023: APC will win all elections in Plateau State, says governorship candidate
The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda has assured that the party has what it takes to win the 2023 general elections from top to bottom in the State.
Dr Yilwatda said the party has the capacity and determination to deliver all its candidates during the forthcoming elections.
The APC Governorship flagbearer stated this on Wednesday in Jos when he held a strategy and consultative meeting with the State Executive Committee of the party which included local Government party Chairmen and all candidates contesting the election under the platform of the party.
He said he called the meeting for the candidates to synergise and galvanise with the party as they go for the campaigns “which we will work hard to win at a level.”
The gubernatorial candidate emphasised the need for teamwork as no candidate can win alone.
“We cannot win alone. Teamwork is key. We should campaign for each other” Dr Nentawe emphasised.
He commended the party under the leadership of Hon. Rufus Bature over the tremendous achievements in reconciling aggrieved members of the party.
He revealed that most of the court cases instituted for various positions are being withdrawn from the courts in all the zones while other aggrieved members are being reconciled and have agreed to remain and work towards the success of the party.
He said these are proof that the internal dispute resolution mechanism deployed by the party is working effectively.
He revealed that from next week, he would together with the leadership of the party embark on sensitisation visits to all the 17 local government areas of the state.
Yilwatda said the visit would include the Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates of the party from their various local governments and Senatorial Districts.
According to him during the visit, he would meet with a large number of stakeholders from the polling units to the interface, interact, discuss and familiarise with them heart-to-heart preparatory to the campaign when the ban on campaigns is lifted.
He berated the opposition PDP for accusing him of influencing the posting of an INEC ICT staff to Plateau state to help rig the election in his favour which he said is ridiculous.
He wondered why out of over 40 INEC staff that were posted to Plateau State, only one person should be singled out to be accused.
He wonders why the opposition party is so scared of the APC and advised the party to desist from its cheap propaganda and concentrate on issues.
Earlier, the Chairman of the party, Honourable Rufus Bature commended the gubernatorial candidate for the confidence he reposed in the party and assured him and all the candidates of working in synergy to deliver all our candidates in the 2023 elections.
According to him, with the credibility and quality of our candidates, we are sure of victory at all levels.
He enjoined all party members to embrace each other and work in harmony to make sure we win all the elections come 2023.
