Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has pledged to mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TInubu in the Southeast.
Kalu had supported the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan against Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the APC presidential primary which they lost.
Kalu indicated his readiness to massively mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of 2023 general election when he visited the presidential candidate at his Abuja residence.
The two leaders met behind closed doors, but a close source disclosed details of their discussion to few journalists in Abuja.
“Though the meeting was very brief, the two leaders had a heart-to-heart discussion with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu pledging to mobilise his people in the South East region to support and vote Tinubu/Shettima ticket.
”Senator Orji Uzor Kalu promised to swing into action as soon as the campaign proper starts by the end of the month by combing all the nooks and crannies of the South East region.”
