Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo said he has no choice of presidential candidate among all those contesting ahead to 2023 general election.

Obasanjo spoke on Sunday in Minna, Niger State after he paid a visit to the former military head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar, but added that he has a national agenda.

The former civilian President from 1999 to 2007 gave his clarification amid media reports last week that, he has endorsed the presidential flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“I don’t have a special candidate, I have a national agenda,” the former Nigerian leader said.

Obasanjo last week told supporters of the APC to be cautious on the way they report about him with regards to his support for presidential candidates.

Obasanjo expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as unauthorised report of the discussion at the closed doors meeting he held with Tinubu.

Since he quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in February 2015, the octogenarian has always declined to publicly endorse any presidential candidate.
