A notorious bandit leader who is identified as Timothy Nwagaga has been arrested during a joint operation by troops of operation whirl stroke.
Otherwise known as Ambiji, who has been on the wanted list of security agents for terrorising the North Central States was arrested in conjunction with the Department of State Security Services.
Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Dan Madami disclosed in Abuja during a press briefing on the progress being made by the Nigerian military and other security agencies in combating terrorism across the country.
Major General Musa Dan Madami disclosed that the troops conducted raid operation at bandits camps at Ankya Village, Zaki Biam town in Ukum Local Government Area in Benue State, Jamata in Koton Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State as well as Mahaga Community in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Major General Musa Dan Madami stated further that the arrested bandit is discovered to be a gang member of a notorious bandit known as Anhie (aka short man) who has been on troops wanted list.
