A Kuje Correctional Centre escapee, Abdulrasaq Isah who was rearrested by the Police has advised other escapees to return to serve their jail terms.
Isah who was 17 years at a time he was sentenced, and now 27 years disclosed how terrorists stormed the facility and open the doors for all prisoners to escape.
He explained while being paraded by the Police, saying that he is a DStv engineer before he sentenced to prison for his involvement in murder.
According to him, “Kuje prison. was attacked when we were in our various cells and we started hearing gunshots and explosives.
“The attackers came to our cell, shot the padlock and opened the cell for us to escape.”
Abdulrasaq Isah said the attackers told them that nobody should remain in the prison and threatened that whoever remains would be killed
After he escaped, he said he went to Kaduna where he has an elder sister whom she used to go to her house to eat at night for security reasons so that people will not see him, noting that he was not staying at her sister’s house, but was hiding in the premises of an hotel around the area where he stole a laptop and an iPad to feed himself.
He begged Nigerians to forgive him, and consider his case having been sentenced at the age of 17.
