South Africa based, Nigerian producer German ‘Engr Dan’ Daniel better known as ‘Engr.D’ performed some unreleased songs from his forthcoming EP, in a virtual concert last night. The songwriter, producer and mixing engineer, took to his Instagram live in a surprise performance for his fans and followers.
Engr. D had earlier posted on his Instagram profile @officialengrd_ asking his followers to watch his stories and IG live for a surprise. He said that he chose to give a surprise performance on IG live since anyone from any part of the world can join and view his performance for free. He further explained that the performance was the best way to keep his fans abreast of his forthcoming EP and the various projects he has been working on,
Engr. D said the performance which was done in the spirit of gratitude, is his way of appreciating his fans for the support they have given him through the years. He also said IG live was the perfect medium free performance since you can reach a lot of people as long as they have an instagram account. “Performing some of my unreleased songs from the forthcoming, self titled EP is a way of previewing it for my fans and sampling their opinion too,” he added.
Daniel also used the opportunity to preview some songs from the collaborative EP by Slesh Music World which he said will feature mostly South Africa based Nigerian artistes, and South African artistes and producers.
“The internet and social media platforms like instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Triller and Twitter, have given artistes and entertainers easier ways to interact and communicate with fans,” Engr. D added.
“I had fun interacting and performing for all my followers and fans, and it was an insightful experience. I am more gingered than ever to finish work on the EP and put it out as soon as possible”
Recall that Engr. D recently released some instrumental tracks “Alone” & “Bad Decisons” pending the release of his 8 track EP later this year.
