Kwankwaso’s party supporters die in car accident in Nasarawa
Four persons were confirmed dead in a ghastly motor accident involving the supporters of the New Nigeria Political Party presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The accident occured while the convoy of the presidential election was on its way to Lafia, capital of Nasarawa State for the inauguration of the campaign office on Saturday ahead of 2023 general election.
One of the drivers of the buses reportedly lost control and summersault leading to the instant death of four persons, while two died at a medical facility.
Others sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Kwankwaso has condoled with the people of Nasarawa State, families of the deceased and the NNPP over the unfortunate incident.
Governor Abdullahi Sule also sent his condolences to the family of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident as well as party supporters.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, the governor lamented the death of party supporters in the manner it happened.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed while wishing those injured a speedy recovery.
