2023: EFCC told to investigate alleged APC’s ‘PVC buying’ in Kaduna

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been urged to immediately investigate some All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Kaduna State for sharing N10,000 to electorate in return for Permanent Voters Card.

In a statement which was issued by the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Aliyu Wusono and was made available to CAPITAL POST on Saturday, he said the main opposition PDP has realised a ‘panic plan’ by the State APC and are handing over N10,000 to voters each after which they surrender their PVC.

The party said, ‘money for PVC’ in Kaduna started like a rumour until, they realised that it was a fact, hence, they urged the anti-graft agency to investigate the source of funds being disbursed to electorate ahead of 2023 general election.

The statement said: “It has come to our knowledge that, some apc members in Kaduna State, are sharing Ten thousand naira each to prospective Voters after collecting their PVC.

“What started as a rumour that Senator Uba Sani has earmarked billions of Naira for vote buying where 15 people are currently being selected per each polling unit across the state in order to execute the plan has now became true.”

PDP said the panic plan by the APC showed that defeat was staring them on the face as a result as Muslim-Muslim ticket tragedy, noting that Kaduna State people are determined to vote them out despite their desperation.

“PDP hereby called on EFCC and the police to investigate this scandal to find out the source of the funds, the motive behind it for possible prosecution of the culprits.

“Let us emphasize, that people of Kaduna state are wise enough to be deceived by this scam. You can’t destroy people’s means of livelihood, destroyed educational sector, commercialize health sector and put people in abject poverty and despair but expect them to vote your candidates.

“Futhermore, as reiterated in his recent media chart , Gov El rufa’i confirmed that all policies executed in the state in the last 7 years have the blessings of Senator Uba Sani, now APC governorship candidate and that the Senator is being an Abuja guy will not spare the people like how he (El rufa’i) did.

“We are therefore challenging Senator Uba Sani to come clear on this information as sharing trader money some few months to election will not help him.”
