Kwara governor’s supporters turn against him, says they prefer Saraki
Ahead of 2023 general election, things may be turning awry against the incumbent governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq as his supporters vented anger and described him ‘ole, ole’, which means ‘thief’.
His supporters who were in hundreds, on Tuesday said, they were fed up with the ruling All Progressives Congress and are planning to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (APC) in the State.
Though, he attempted to calm frayed nerves, he was rebuffed as chants of “Ole” and “Sai Bukky” filled the air in a video which has gone viral.
“Sai Bukky” is a catchphrase often used by Kwara local politicians and admirers of Dr. Bukola Saraki who was former governor and former Senate President.
The chants may be a sign of an end to the APC government in Kwara after eight years in the State as Saraki political dynasty continue to be waxing strong.
The video of supporters embarrassing the governor has gone viral on various platforms.
